This role is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the education sector. As an LPAC Assistant, you will be working closely with families and students to provide support for language development and educational programs.
About the PositionThe LPAC Assistant will be responsible for maintaining administrative records, preparing reports, and communicating with parents and guardians regarding program options. You will also assist in screening activities, group meetings, and communicate with campuses regarding student placement.
This position requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate administrative records and prepare required reports
- Communicate with families to schedule language-testing appointments
- Advise parents and guardians of program options and provide support for language development
- Assist in screening activities and group meetings with parents, guardians, and children
- Communicate with campuses regarding student placement and next steps
- Type correspondence, reports, agendas, and other documents as needed
In addition to these responsibilities, the LPAC Assistant will also perform other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Requirements- Speaks, reads, and writes English fluently; bilingual preferred
- Experience working and communicating with children and families
- College hours preferred; high school diploma or GED required
- Proficient technology skills
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
We estimate the salary for this position to be around $50,000-$60,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
Working ConditionsThis role requires frequent district-wide travel and occasional prolonged or irregular hours. The ideal candidate should be able to maintain emotional control under stress and have the ability to lift 25 pounds waist-high.
