Custodial Worker

West Liberty University is seeking a highly skilled Custodial Staff member to join our team. This role involves performing various tasks to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities.

We offer a competitive salary, approximately $40,000 per year, along with generous benefits, including 2 days of annual leave per month and 12-13 paid holidays. Additionally, academic year employees are eligible for a 100% waiver for undergraduate tuition and spouses are eligible for a 50% waiver for graduate tuition for certain programs.

• Operate various cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, buffers, and pressure washers, to maintain facility cleanliness.
• Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Disinfect high-touch areas daily upon request or during seasonal issues.
• Mix and dilute commercial strength cleaning solutions and calculate area requirements.
• Dispose of trash, waste, and other disposable materials as needed.
• Clean and disinfect bathroom facilities and replenish supplies.
• Restock paper and soap supplies when necessary.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, disinfect, and vacuum floors, stairwells, elevators, and related areas.
• Dust and polish furniture, tabletops, file cabinets, bookcases, and other woodwork.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of previous custodial experience preferred.
