Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Dishware Attendant to join our team at Mellow Mushroom River City. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene.

Responsibilities:

  • Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment to the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor dishwasher water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
  • Keep the dishwasher clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to the Kitchen Manager.
  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
  • Sweep or scrub floors as required.
  • Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
  • Receive and store supplies.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • Able to work in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for long periods of time.
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
  • Able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop.
  • Able to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
