Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Altru Health. As an Inpatient Pharmacy Professional, you will play a vital role in delivering medications safely and effectively to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and manufacture compounds, extemporaneous pharmaceutical products, intravenous admixtures, small volume parenteral, total parenteral nutrition, and chemotherapy orders.
  • Enter medication orders into the computer, review and monitor patient medication records, check for duplication or medication errors, incompatibilities, adverse reactions, and drug interactions.
  • Provide educational information and programs to patients, families, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Communicate with other caregivers regarding patient status and needs.
  • Maintain patient and medication records in compliance with state and federal regulations and department policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Pharmacist certification from the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy.
  • Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Pharmacy.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent sitting, occasional standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and handling/finger/feel activities. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 10 pounds, carry sedentary loads, and push/pull light loads.
