Job Summary

As an Assistant Rural Carrier with the US Postal Service, you will play a vital role in delivering mail and packages to rural communities. This position requires a high level of customer service and attention to detail, as you will be interacting with customers and navigating through various routes to ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver mail and packages on Saturdays and observed holidays using dynamic route descriptions.
  • Case, deliver, and collect mail and packages along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Work collaboratively with other USPS employees to ensure efficient and effective delivery operations.
Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • The ability to lift and carry mailbags and packages up to 70 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
