Job Summary

The Host is a key member of our team at Salt Lake City Brewing CO LLC, responsible for setting the tone for the dining experience. As a friendly, courteous, and caring individual, you will champion the definition of "great service" by making our customers feel comfortable from the moment they walk in the door.

Key Responsibilities
  • Takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized host desk.
  • Maintains and coordinates all activities at the host desk, ensuring seamless customer service.
  • Greets customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, managing the seating of all customers as quickly as possible while prioritizing front desk responsibilities.
  • Answers the restaurant phone within 3 rings in a friendly manner, offering assistance and answering questions.
  • Takes and assembles "to go" orders per standard procedures, ensuring 100% accuracy on execution.
  • Provides timely feedback to customers on the status of their table, if they are part of a large group, or the customers are wait-listed during peak times.
  • Understands liquor license regulations and ensures customers are directed to the appropriate sections.
  • Assists co-workers and managers on duty in all aspects of ALOHA operations where possible.
  • Maintains retail and to-go beer areas.
  • Sets up, cleans, restocks, and maintains retail areas.
  • Ensures a safe and clean environment by wiping down all menus, removing daily specials inserts, emptying garbage, and wiping clean the daily specials board at the end of the day.
  • Strictly adheres to all DABC and identification laws.
  • Demonstrates leadership and teamwork while working respectfully with all team members.
  • Communicates clearly and demonstrates a willingness to help all team members.
  • Provides a safe workplace environment for all staff members.
  • Provides a harassment-free workplace for all staff members.
  • Protects consumer health with strict adherence to all sanitary and safe food handling mandates and practices.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
