Job Summary:

As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dialysis facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering dialysis treatments, monitoring vital signs, and performing vascular access cannulation.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Conduct pre- and post-treatment assessments, including vital signs, weight, and laboratory results.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest dialysis techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid PCT national certification or state-specific certification as defined by Center for Medicaid/Medicare (CMS).
  • At least five years of patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
  • Successful completion of Fresenius Medical Care North America's dialysis training program and CPR certification required.
Work Environment:

The Dialysis Patient Care Technician will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and facility staff. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting of patients and equipment, as well as occasional travel to regional, business unit, and corporate meetings.
