Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily unit operations, addressing issues as they arise using sound judgment and experience. Exhibit advanced clinical expertise and strong leadership skills while collaborating with healthcare team members.
- Supervise and guide staff RNs, LVNs, and Nursing Assistants in their daily duties, providing constructive feedback for performance evaluations, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure continuous oversight of nursing staff, providing direct patient care when necessary. Responsible for the safe administration of medications and treatments, recognizing changes in patient conditions and directing appropriate responses.
- Collaborate with physicians to establish patient care goals that align with treatment plans and standards of practice, ensuring patient preferences are incorporated into care discussions.
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, coordinating care across various disciplines and ensuring high-quality, safe patient care.
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding towards patients and their families, fostering a supportive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and needs.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in California.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Ability to adapt and maintain composure in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Experience in a leadership capacity within a clinical setting.
- One year of nursing experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Prior experience as a Charge Nurse in an acute care environment.
- Bilingual communication skills.
Compensation: Competitive pay rate based on experience.
