Key Responsibilities:
  • Preoperative and Postoperative Duties: Assist in preparing patients for surgery, verify patient identity and operative sites, and complete necessary documentation.
  • Surgical Support: Help surgeons during procedures by performing tasks such as tissue retraction, intravenous lines, and maintaining aseptic technique.
  • Equipment and Supply Management: Ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies for operative procedures, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Patient Care: Monitor patient intraoperative status, obtain dental radiographs and imaging, and complete patient clinical narratives.
Requirements:
  • Licensure and Certification: Licensed TN Dental Assistant required, BLS certification required or the ability to complete within 1 month of hire.
  • Experience: At least one year of surgical experience required, DAANCE certification preferred, and licensed dental assistant preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Basic computer knowledge, ability to work well in a team and individually, good judgment and critical thinking skills, and excellent manual dexterity.
