Shift: Days/Nights, Every other weekend required, Holidays required, No on call
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute rehab and medical/surgical experience.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs
- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments
- Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnoses, and functional health frameworks
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions
- Manage care of patients
- Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery
- Provide patient-centered care in alignment with professional nursing practice models
- Minimum 2 years acute rehab and M/S experience highly preferred
- ASN
- BSN
- Minimum 2+ (recent) years of strong rehab experience (need to have hospital-based experience) required
- Float to med surg telemetry units if needed
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
- BLS
- AHA
- NIHSS
