POSITION OVERVIEW

The Culinary Services Associate plays a vital role in the kitchen by executing various tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Responsibilities are carried out in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies and ethical standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

During the evaluation process, it is essential to assess the staff member's performance in relation to job responsibilities. Utilize the 'Comments' section to note specific examples of performance strengths, areas for improvement, and any other relevant observations to support the staff member's professional development.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Exhibiting the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver dietary services tailored to the needs of residents in the assigned area.
  2. Demonstrating leadership and accountability to ensure high-quality food service for every customer.
  3. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the work area, operating dishwashing equipment, and handling kitchen utensils and equipment responsibly.
  4. Restocking food service items and ensuring that storage areas are organized and well-maintained.
  5. Adhering to dress code standards and participating in scheduled meetings and mandatory training sessions.
  6. Exemplifying service excellence by embodying the organization's mission, vision, and values to enhance resident satisfaction.
  7. Following organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and quality performance.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Minimum age of 16 years
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos; capable of writing basic correspondence.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in various formats.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on service orientation.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills relevant to the care of residents based on their age-specific needs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or up to one year of related experience or training.

Note: This position may involve potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
