About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Development Co-op to join our team at True Manufacturing. As a key member of our Sustainability Team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives and projects that drive environmental stewardship and reduce our ecological footprint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate actively in the Sustainability Team to drive environmental sustainability and reduce waste.
  • Develop process-driven analysis of our manufacturing facility to identify areas for improvement.
  • Research and investigate sustainability initiatives, alternative products, and resource-efficient solutions.
  • Develop and implement sustainability projects, including waste audits, resource routing options, and metric implementation.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators, such as energy usage, natural resource usage, waste generation, and recycling.
  • Prepare comprehensive sustainability reports and develop in-depth databases for sustainability and environmental documentation.
  • Assist in the technical writing of sustainability and environmental program development.
  • Organize company-wide environmental volunteer activities and develop communication materials regarding our sustainability goals.
Requirements
  • Full-time student, currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in chemical or environmental engineering or a similar field.
  • Junior or senior year student preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.
  • Interest in sustainability, environmental laws, and regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time properly.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic programming knowledge preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and team player.
