Job Description: Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the safe execution of planned and unplanned equipment repair work activities in our Newark, Ohio plant. This includes managing a 12-hour shift of union Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance employees to ensure equipment reliability and metal flow throughout the plant.

The successful candidate will supervise all Maintenance Craft Workers, scheduling time & attendance, administering corrective actions, training initiatives, and employee coaching/development. Key responsibilities include directing safety meetings and dialogs, performing Job Hazard Analysis, and maintaining maintenance housekeeping standards. Additionally, the candidate will identify, assist, and resolve equipment issues through shop floor problem solving, collaboration with engineering, and ongoing employee training and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, monitor, and manage maintenance and repair work using our CMMS System (Maximo)
  • Identify spare parts in our inventory system and coordinate resource sharing between plant maintenance areas
  • Review and document maintenance work activities through turnover reports from previous and oncoming shifts
  • Elevate maintenance housekeeping standards and drive 5S performance

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate technical degree (BSME preferred) or two-year associates degree in a maintenance discipline with five years of experience in maintenance, including two years as a supervisor or minimum of five years maintenance supervisory experience
  • Strong Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Heavy to Light Manufacturing Maintenance Experience
  • Strong PC skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
