Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing. This is a leadership role that requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and guide a team of nursing professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of the Nursing Department.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure high-quality resident care.
  • Oversee and manage the restorative treatment program, ensuring that residents receive the best possible care and support.
  • Recruit, hire, evaluate, and discipline nursing staff, ensuring that the team is well-trained and equipped to provide exceptional care.
  • Advise and consult with the Director of Nursing on nursing and resident care issues, providing expert clinical guidance and support.
  • Perform the duties of the Director of Nursing in their absence, ensuring continuity of care and leadership.
  • Ensure that the Nursing Department operates within established budget guidelines, managing resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Supervise the proper care and use of equipment and waste disposal procedures, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Participate in all in-services and activities as required, staying up-to-date with the latest clinical developments and best practices.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all protected health information, applying the Minimum Necessary Standard in all matters related to resident care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an approved school of nursing required.
  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in clinical practice as a registered nurse required.
  • Able to follow and give written and oral directions.
  • Demonstrate dependability, cooperation, and interest in the care of the elderly.
  • Display leadership qualities, good communication skills, and a desire to continuously learn.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
