Jacobs is in search of a Senior Systems Engineer to support a significant contract. In this role, you will be recognized as a specialist, offering technical direction and insights to fulfill all operational needs. You will also lend your expertise in system security mandates, architecting security frameworks, and crafting security designs for program platforms. Additionally, you will formulate System Engineering strategies and protocols in alignment with DoD best practices. Your responsibilities will include researching, designing, developing, testing, or overseeing the production and installation of RF communication devices, components, or systems intended for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific applications.
The working atmosphere is dynamic and may involve pressures associated with deadlines. The nature of this position necessitates a high level of collaboration and synergy with fellow team members as well as stakeholders across the organization and clients. Our program offers readily accessible process information and support for team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Functions of the Senior Systems Engineer:
- Research, design, develop, test, or supervise the production and installation of RF communication devices, components, or systems for various applications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience Required: 10 years
- At least 5 years must be dedicated to roles related to DoD communication systems or networks.
- At least 5 of the 10 years should involve performing duties on Project-25 compatible public-safety radio communication systems. Experience may overlap.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT field.
- DoD compliant IAT Level III certification: GSLC, CAP, CASP, CISM, and/or CISSP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the XACTA IA Manager is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and prioritize requirements effectively.
- Prior military experience is preferred for this position.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and system advancement is essential due to the evolving nature of cyber threats.
- A quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts, data formats, and software is desired.
- A self-driven, detail-oriented, responsible team player with excellent relationship management skills is essential.
