Binghamton University's Environmental Studies Program is seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor to join our faculty. As a leading institution in environmental education and research, we are committed to fostering a community of scholars who share our passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental studies, including introductory courses, specialized topics, and seminars.
- Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on interdisciplinary and collaborative projects.
- Contribute to the development of the Environmental Studies Program, including curriculum design, program assessment, and community engagement.
- Mentor junior faculty and students, providing guidance and support in research, teaching, and professional development.
- Ph.D. in Environmental Studies or a related field.
- Strong research record, with a demonstrated ability to obtain external funding and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff across departments and disciplines.
- Experience in interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects.
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and research.
- Ability to contribute to the development of the Environmental Studies Program, including curriculum design and program assessment.
