Position Overview: RMW Accounting is in search of a seasoned Tax Manager to enhance our team.
We are looking for a proactive professional eager to advance their skills within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and finalize individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
- Review and approve business and fiduciary tax filings.
- Provide clients with tax projections and advisory services as required.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve issues, conduct research, and complete projects efficiently.
Specific Duties Include:
- Examine U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for various business structures, including C-Corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, and fiduciary entities.
- Prepare and assess Estate and Trust tax filings.
- Handle taxation for non-profit organizations.
- Review individual income and gift tax returns at both federal and state levels.
- Generate tax projections for individual and corporate clients.
- Conduct necessary tax research.
- Maintain communication with clients and colleagues regarding diverse tax issues.
- Engage in consulting and special projects as required by clients.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant tax experience.
- Possession of a CPA certification is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel; familiarity with Ultratax tax software and Practice CS is preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks and trial balance software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to meet deadlines while managing multiple client engagements in a dynamic environment.
- A willingness to expand one’s knowledge base.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Competitive salary with benefits including 401(k), dental, health, vision insurance, flexible scheduling, and paid time off.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as necessary.
Work Location: Hybrid remote arrangement.
