About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Cloud Powered Checkout team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing a comprehensive cloud-powered checkout solution that caters to Walmart's physical POS clients across multiple markets and geographies.

You will lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects, reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions, and gathering requested information. You will also write and develop code, conduct unit testing, communicate status and issues to team members and stakeholders, and collaborate with project teams and cross-functional teams.

In addition, you will troubleshoot business and production issues, gather information, engage support teams, formulate an action plan, and perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.

You will also provide support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues, identifying short- and long-term solutions, facilitating resolutions, and leading cross-functional partnerships.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply it to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans. You will provide expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices, support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs, and build commitment for perspectives and rationales.

You will also model compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a comprehensive cloud-powered checkout solution
  • Lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects
  • Troubleshoot business and production issues
  • Provide support to the business
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply it to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans
  • Model compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years of programming experience in architecting highly scalable and performing Web Applications
  • 5+ years of experience programming in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST Services, and related technologies
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies
  • 4+ years of developing/architecting high transaction high throughput systems
  • 2+ years of experience with integrating 3rd party solutions in existing architecture
  • 2+ years of experience in agile ways of working in a distributed geographical model
