Job Summary

Le Bonheur Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our team. As a PICU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and manage life-sustaining therapies, such as mechanical ventilation and vasopressors.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification within 2 years of hire.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN degree.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP) certification.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
