Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ambulatory Surgery Center Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our ophthalmology ASC.

About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing overall operations within the authority of the Board of Directors. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies, overseeing financial performance, developing operations and capital budgets, and making operational decisions that support the Center's financial goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management, with experience in ambulatory surgery centers or hospital settings. They will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the center to ensure patient safety and highest quality of care;
  • Act in accordance with the vision, mission, and business philosophy of the Center;
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans to support the Center's goals;
  • Provide direction on staffing decisions and operations to drive efficiencies;
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies;
  • Ensure compliance with the Center's policies and procedures;
  • Serve as primary liaison between the Governing Board, medical staff, facility staff, health system partner, and management company;
  • Oversee financial performance of the facility, develop operations budget, and capital budget;
  • Work closely with the QAPI Committee and Governing Board in evaluating and developing existing and new surgical service lines;
  • Responsible for overall patient engagement and experience, including Patient Satisfaction performance;
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of surgery center business operations;
  • Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure, think critically, and make sound judgments;
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information;
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse; Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, Master's preferred;
  • Ophthalmology and supervisory experience in a hospital suite or ASC setting;
  • At least three years of healthcare management experience;
  • At least one year's experience in an ASC;

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
