Estimated Salary Range$70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Patient Services: Provide speech therapy services to patients as ordered by a physician, following the Plan of Care.
- Engaging Exercises and Activities: Prepare and implement stimulating exercises and activities for speech sessions with patients.
- Counseling and Consultations: Offer guidance and support to new patients and their family members.
- Goal Setting and Progress Tracking: Establish and monitor goals for patients, identifying areas of progress and challenges.
- Safety and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed when preparing speech pathology equipment.
- Continuing Education: Attend courses and workshops to advance knowledge and skills within the field.
- Certification and Licensure: Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Therapy and be licensed in the State of Texas.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in computer software used for documentation and report preparation.
- Education: Possess a Master's degree in Speech Therapy.
- Confidentiality and Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws, handling sensitive information with care.
- Software Troubleshooting: Be proficient in resolving common software and hardware issues related to speech pathology tools.
- Physical Demands: Exhibit physical endurance and the ability to work primarily in a standing position.
- Professional Demeanor: Maintain a friendly and professional attitude when explaining procedures and treatments.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate accountability and meticulousness when handling and documenting patient data.
