Job Description

Decker is seeking a skilled Class A CDL driver to join our team as an OTR Flatbed Driver. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating a 48 ft. flatbed trailer, hauling a variety of cargo, including steel, coils, lumber, and building products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a 48 ft. flatbed trailer, hauling a variety of cargo
  • Travel throughout the Southeast and Midwest, with regular home time
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics, including on-time delivery and CSA compliance
  • Participate in regular safety training and adhere to company safety policies

Requirements:
  • Class A CDL with 6 months recent flatbed experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet or exceed performance metrics
Equipment:

Decker provides a fleet of well-maintained trucks, including Peterbilt 579, Volvo, and Freightliner Cascadia models. Each truck is equipped with the latest technology, including APU, 1,800-watt inverter, free Wi-Fi, smart TV with satellite programming, microwave, refrigerator, CB radio, and satellite radio hook-ups.

Orientation and Onboarding:

Decker offers a comprehensive orientation and onboarding program, including a $500 orientation pay and a 3-day orientation in Fort Dodge, IA. We also provide a rental vehicle, plane, or reimbursement for driving your own vehicle to orientation.

Physicals and Drug Testing:

Applicants must have a complete physical within the last 6 months, certified for 6 months or longer, and does not expire within the next 3 months. All applicants will be subject to a pre-employment urinalysis and hair follicle drug test prior to coming to orientation.
