The Ultrasound Technologist II plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by performing ultrasound examinations under the direction of a physician. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation for exams.
- Use proper imaging techniques to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality diagnostic exams.
- Demonstrate proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department.
- Complete and annotate medically acceptable exams, following ACR guidelines.
- Follow appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charging.
- ARRT registry, including successful completion of ARDMS physics and vascular registry or ARDMS Registry.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Ultrasound experience preferred.
