Administrative Director Surgical Services

Job Summary
The Administrative Director Surgical Services is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing resources for multiple departments/service lines on a twenty-four hour basis. This includes budget responsibility, efficient and effective resource utilization, recruitment and management of assigned staff, achieving quality outcomes, performance improvement, monitoring of quality and quantity of services, maintaining positive working relationships with staff and System departments and managers, and purchasing and maintaining equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve departmental performance and patient outcomes
- Manage departmental budgets and resources to ensure efficient and effective use
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure high-quality patient care and service
- Collaborate with System departments and managers to achieve organizational goals and objectives
- Monitor and evaluate departmental performance to identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- 5 years experience in discipline or specialty
- Progressively responsible management experience
- Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Nursing, Business or Related Field
- Specialty or Administration certification
