Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Aviation Ground Support Professional to join our team at Alliance Ground International. As a Ramp Agent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of flights by providing efficient ground support services.

About the Role

This is a dynamic position that requires physical stamina and strength, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for guiding inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate, transporting and loading/unloading baggage and cargo, and maintaining visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure equipment safety.

You will also operate heavy equipment such as pushback equipment, motorized vehicles, and manually push and pull push carts and containers. Additionally, you will receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials, and complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull and move items 70 pounds (32 kg) or more on a regular basis, and repetitively lift items weighing 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with flight crew, gate agents, and other ground crew.
  • Math Skills: Basic math skills to calculate weight and balance calculations for planes.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in using computer systems to track cargo and baggage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in the aviation industry.
