Guatemalan Linguist

At General Dynamics Information Technology, we are seeking a highly skilled Guatemalan Linguist to join our team. As a Guatemalan Linguist, you will play a critical role in supporting our social media program in Tampa, FL.

• Develop and maintain expertise with designated regional issues and draw upon publicly available online information resources.
• Read, analyze, and draft communications regarding regional and ideological discussions in specified foreign language media environments.
• Examine current media statements or postings to support trend analysis and identify key communicators.
• Demonstrate reading and writing expertise in the assigned language and incorporate custom social media solutions to comprehend online environments and communicate trends effectively.
• Support operations planning.
• Demonstrate knowledge of online social media and different technologies, and document activities, notes, informative papers, or whitepapers written in English.
• Some travel may be required.

• Bachelor's Degree required; experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years' experience required.
• Minimum DoD Secret clearance required.
• Ability to work nonstandard hours and in on-call status for periods of time may be required. Select candidates will be language-tested.
• Location: Customer Site.
