Job Overview

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Execute a variety of machining operations utilizing manual engine lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, bridgeport mill surfacing equipment, and drill presses.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial calipers, rules, and dial indicators.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Skilled in sharpening and maintaining cutting tools.
  • Experience in operating material handling machinery.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is preferred; education and training may substitute for work experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fabricate precise fixtures and templates.
  • Conduct layout operations with accuracy.
  • Set up and operate various machining equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
  • Oversee inventory management, including daily tracking of tool usage.
  • Operate all types of material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Understand and comply with Quality Policies, adhering to the Quality System manual, Operating Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
  • Follow all Safety and Environmental regulations diligently.
  • Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the role.

HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT, AND QUALITY (HSEQ) RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere strictly to the Company's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Policy.
  • Actively engage in maintaining system certifications and enhancing Management Systems.
  • Promptly report any incidents, accidents, or issues to the HSE(Q) Department Manager.
  • Comply with health and safety laws, Company policies, and procedures, and be prepared for emergency situations.
  • Ensure the safety of colleagues and visitors within the workplace.

FOSTERING A STRONG SAFETY CULTURE AND ENSURING ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Lead by example in promoting safe work practices.
  • Address safety violations immediately and engage in constructive discussions.
  • Participate in Workplace Safety Reviews and observation initiatives, reporting findings to the HSE(Q) Department.
  • Identify and communicate health, safety, and environmental risks in the work area, implementing effective control measures to prevent accidents and pollution.
  • Report incidents without delay and ensure comprehensive investigations are conducted.
  • Consult with the VP, HSEQ regarding any concerns and seek guidance as needed.
  • Respond promptly to spills to mitigate pollution and notify the HSE(Q) Department immediately.
