Dental Care Specialist

This position is responsible for the practice of general dentistry and all matters requiring professional judgment. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring dental disease, restoring and maintaining dental function, and assisting in the maintenance of good dental health and well-being of persons in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
Examine and evaluate the oral condition of all patients upon admission and at periodic intervals
Perform diagnostic, preventive, restorative, periodontic, endodontic, prosthodontics, adjunctive and emergency, and oral surgery
Referral of specialized orthodontic and complex treatment to community specialists
Direction of the clinical activities of ancillary dental personnel
Assistance in completion and submission of monthly and annual dental activity reports
Provision of dental health education on an individual and group basis
Provision of care and maintenance of dental equipment, direction of infection control procedures and elimination of biohazards within the dental operatory
Requirements:
Current Wisconsin licensure in Dentistry or licensure in another state and eligibility to obtain Wisconsin licensure by time of appointment
Experience applying the theory, principles and practice of general dentistry
Performing required dental procedures
Guiding, monitoring, and evaluating the work of ancillary dental personnel
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with associate personnel and services
Current BLS certification prior to appointment to the position
Working Conditions:
