We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Publisher to join our Technical Publications team at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works. As a Desktop Publisher, you will play a critical role in the development and production of US Navy technical manuals, ensuring adherence to contract requirements and delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze technical manual formats to ensure compliance with contract specifications
- Utilize desktop publishing software to create new and revised technical manuals, including text, images, and graphics
- Prepare and submit Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) data items, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Graphic Arts & Design preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with above-average familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality products
- Must be able to obtain a government security clearance and be a US Citizen
- Experience working with AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) or Extensible Markup Language (XML) files
- Associate's Degree in Graphic Arts & Design or related field
