Full-Time Residential Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at a community services non-profit organization in the Bronx, NY. This is a permanent, full-time position in our residential programs, which include supervised living, supported living, and independent living.
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in professional nursing and at least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse with individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based health services setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention to residents. They will also develop, supervise, and review each resident's written health care plan, as well as integrate therapeutic intervention techniques into programs or homes.
Additional responsibilities include conducting training for staff in medical administration, personal hygiene, basic first aid, dental hygiene, infection control, and other in-services as needed. The Registered Nurse will also handle control of communicable diseases and infections through identification, assessment, reporting, and implementation of appropriate protective and preventive measures.
This is a 35-hour per week, 5-day per week position with flexible scheduling. The Registered Nurse will be expected to answer the phone and respond to inquiries or notifications from staff at the residence.
Required qualifications include a valid New York State Driver's License, a License and current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York, and CPR certification.
