Job Overview

Spee-Dee Delivery Service, Inc is a dynamic company seeking an experienced and customer-oriented Route Driver to join our team.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive starting wage of $22.50 per hour, with opportunities for overtime and bonuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and collect freight in a timely and professional manner from customers and shippers.
  • Inspect the vehicle and report any mechanical issues to ensure safe operations.
  • Loading and unloading freight efficiently to prevent damage and optimize space usage.
  • Collect payments for certain packages delivered and verify content on shipping papers.
  • Maintain open communication with management regarding any problems or discrepancies encountered.
  • Promote a positive image through personal appearance and cleanliness of the vehicle.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record that meets company standards.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission or willingness to learn.
  • Pass a DOT physical exam and possess necessary qualifications.
  • Capable of lifting and moving freight weighing up to 100 pounds while performing various tasks.
  • Experienced in handling diverse types of freight, including hazardous materials and perishable goods.
