Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Surgical Preparation: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, review medical charts, and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for surgical procedures.
  • Surgical Assistance: Assist physicians with advanced tasks and equipment during surgical procedures, including cardiopulmonary bypass/heart-lung machine use, trans-esophageal echocardiogram studies, and vascular access and interventions.
  • Documentation and Communication: Accurately and timely document surgical procedures, physician orders, and patient information, ensuring seamless communication with other healthcare professionals.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Quality and Safety: Demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety by adhering to organizational policies, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (minimum) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Experience: One year of operating room experience in an acute care setting (minimum) or one year of CVOR experience (preferred)
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, BLS certification, and ACLS certification
