Position Overview:
As a Dietician, you will play a crucial role in assessing and enhancing the nutritional well-being of our residents. Your expertise will not only influence individual health outcomes but also guide our culinary team in delivering nutritious meals that promote vitality and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough nutritional evaluations for residents.
- Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with nutritional standards and regulations.
- Assist in managing food service operations, including cost control and staffing.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on nutritional practices and healthy eating.
- Monitor residents' nutritional progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A valid state license or eligibility for licensure.
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Experience in a long-term care environment is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills coupled with critical thinking abilities.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, especially for the elderly and chronically ill.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team setting.
