Pharmacy Technician Specialist Job Summary

At Ardent Health, we are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of technician specialty practice areas, including billing, diversion, automation, medication history, and others.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide user support and perform maintenance activities and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor proper functionality and ensure policies and procedures are both documented and followed.
  • Coordinate upgrade testing activities, education, and serve as the subject matter expert for the technician specialty practice area.
  • Assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing, mixing IVs, managing inventory, and assist in pharmacy operations.


Requirements:
  • High School graduate or GED.
  • 3+ year's previous hospital pharmacy technician experience (inclusive of training programs).
  • 1 year experience with identified specialty system/process.
  • Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
  • Current BLS Certification.


Preferred Requirements:
  • Associates/bachelor degree.
  • PTCB/ASHP Specialty Credentials.
