Job Overview: Apogee Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced nurse case manager to support our US Department of Labor contract in the Athens, GA area. This role will involve providing expert healthcare services to injured workers and facilitating their return to work.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in adult medical/surgical nursing and case management, with a minimum of three years experience in the workers' compensation arena. They will also possess an active, unrestricted state nursing license and specialized certification in occupational health or case management, highly preferred.

The key responsibilities of this role include assisting in the medical management of disability claims, providing timely assistance in coordinating medical care and returning to work, and maintaining contact with injured workers. The successful candidate will also work with medical providers to obtain treatment plans and coordinate recommended medical care, and collaborate with employers to identify light-duty work accommodations and/or barriers to return-to-work efforts.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of one year adult medical/surgical nursing experience and three years case management experience in the workers' compensation arena.
  • An active, unrestricted state nursing license to practice within the United States in the state where services are being performed.
  • Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in basic word processing, data entry, and automated records.
  • Specialized certification in occupational health, case management, insurance rehabilitation, disability management, or nurse case management, highly preferred.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
