Corner Marshal Position

Job Summary

The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Corner Marshal at the Sebring International Raceway. As a Corner Marshal, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of drivers, crew members, and spectators during racing events.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe and monitor track surface conditions to identify potential hazards
• Provide clear and concise information to drivers using racing flags and signals
• Assist drivers and other personnel in the event of an incident
• Communicate with the radio tower, stewards, and emergency medical responders as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and communicate effectively with others
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations

Physical Demands

The Corner Marshal position requires the ability to stand for long periods, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must also be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

The Corner Marshal will work in a variety of weather conditions and may be exposed to loud noises and other hazards associated with racing events.
