IT Director

Join the Georgia Department of Public Health as an IT Director and play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare technology in the state. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of IT projects and initiatives that drive innovation and improvement in our services.

• Lead the IT department in strategic planning, evaluation, development, implementation, and administration of all systems and infrastructure.
• Ensure the overall security of our network, telecommunication devices, and security as it relates to HIPAA.
• Oversee the development and implementation of statewide IT projects and initiatives on behalf of the district.
• Represent District 4 by attending relevant statewide meetings and representing the IT department at local district meetings.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of directly related supervisory/management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems and develop solutions.
• Ability to provide on-site and/or remote technical support.
