Position Overview

The Senior Manager will oversee project assignments from initial kick-off to the preparation of deliverables, including presentations and reports, with a focus on scheduling challenges, project controls, cost management, and claims related to change orders. The ideal candidate aims to achieve a high level of expertise and industry recognition, aspiring to provide expert testimony within a 3 to 5-year timeframe. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, updating, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules
  • Developing project timelines and implementing critical path method (CPM) delay analyses
  • Engaging with clients and project stakeholders
  • Providing project management teams with relevant information regarding engagement status
  • Assisting in the evaluation and preparation of claims related to project management, engineering/construction, cost quantification, progress evaluation, time extensions, schedule delays, disruptions, productivity, changes in work scope, and site conditions
  • Conducting thorough factual and data-driven research and evaluation of project documentation
  • Analyzing essential project data, including critical path schedules, acceleration programs, resource utilization, labor reports, and costs
  • Assisting in the analysis and preparation of claims and reports
  • Creating visual aids and graphics for expert reports and presentations
  • Effectively managing multiple projects with competing priorities
Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the construction industry, along with strong written communication skills. A degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Candidates should have a solid understanding of construction fundamentals, including construction documents and management procedures such as project controls, scheduling, engineering, estimation, and contracts. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following:

  • Exceptional technical writing abilities
  • Expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, large data management, and graphic communication tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products (especially Word and Excel)
  • Testimony experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Eligibility to work in the US or possess a valid work permit if applicable
  • Certifications such as Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) are preferred.
