Surgical Technologist

As a Surgical Technologist at HexaQuEST Health, Inc., you will play a vital role in the delivery of patient care as a member of the surgical team. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you will assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities:- Participate in age-specific care and interaction, ensuring that patient needs are met in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Implement and maintain current competencies and certifications, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
- Ensure patient safety by performing accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Provide a sterile atmosphere before and during all surgical procedures, setting up and maintaining a sterile field.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
- Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST) or Technologist (TS).
- Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
- Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment, as well as stand for long periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to surgical procedures and equipment. You must be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly and respectfully, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
