WIC Department Nutritionist

We are seeking a talented WIC Department Nutritionist to join our team. As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing community health organization, providing nutrition counseling and education to patients at our WIC department in Olympia, WA.

The estimated salary for this position is $69,472 per year, based on the hourly rate of $33.40. This is a full-time temporary position that requires travel to various WIC sites in Thurston County.

About the Job:

We are looking for a qualified individual who can assess patient needs, develop personalized nutrition plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, establishing professional relationships with colleagues, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and develop nutrition plans
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with team members and other Sea Mar staff
• Provide Medical, MSS, and patient nutritional assessment and nutrition counseling

Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in nutrition from an accredited university
• Completed an accredited dietetic internship program or Coordinated Undergraduate Program in Dietetics
• 7 hours of HIV/AIDS course
• WA State Registration and Certification for Dietitian or RD/CD eligible
• Medical Assistant-Registered Certification required for Hemoglobin testing for WIC RD
• Demonstrated interest in nutrition services and nutrition education
