Job Title: Automotive Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at UPS. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair various systems, including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.
  • Work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday, and Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on the location's need.
  • Operate standard and manual transmission, as well as power and pneumatic tools.
  • Meet D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
Requirements:
  • Must have an active driver's license issued by the state.
  • Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday, and Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on the location's need.
  • Must possess the required hand tools required to perform the applicable job assignment.
  • Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - REQUIRED.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computer.
  • Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
  • Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workday on a consistent basis.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The starting pay for this position is $38.25 per hour. For union-represented postings, wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.

Hired applicants are eligible for weekly pay, extensive training, 401(K), defined-benefit pension plan, medical-dental and vision after waiting and or probation period, $0 healthcare premium, paid vacation, paid sick and family and medical leave time as required by law, paid holidays, discounted employee stock purchase program.
