Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to a diverse population of patients, including post-operative surgical patients and those with cardiac drips.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including telemetry readings and medication administration.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical surgical unit.
- Ability to read telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology.
- Knowledge of cardiac drips and medication administration.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
