Position Overview

OSF HealthCare is actively seeking a qualified surgeon specializing in breast surgery, ideally with a background in surgical oncology or fellowship training in breast surgery. This role is integral to our esteemed breast cancer center, which is poised for expansion with the upcoming comprehensive Cancer Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of two breast surgeons and various surgical specialists.
  • Consideration for both new graduates and seasoned professionals.
  • Flexible on-call schedule.
  • Engage with a well-established NAPBC accredited Breast Center.
  • Contribute to pioneering cancer treatment methodologies in Central Illinois.
  • Practice within a state-of-the-art facility that includes diagnostic imaging, primary care offices, and an ambulatory surgery center.
  • Benefit from a robust referral network through OSF Medical Group’s Primary and Specialty Care physicians.
  • Work at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center, a major teaching affiliate and the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Medicine with a valid state medical license.
  • Board certification or eligibility in the relevant specialty.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain medical staff privileges.
  • Eligibility for participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Compliance with OSF's professional malpractice and liability coverage requirements.
  • Licensed to prescribe controlled substances as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering patient-centered care that aligns with the preferences and needs of the patient population.
