Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Preoperative Nurse PRN to join our team at Center for Special Surgery-Texas. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients' care areas for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Conduct thorough physical and psychological assessments, reviewing patients' charts for completeness prior to surgery.
  • Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed, monitoring patients until transfer to the OR.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required.
  • 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment.
  • BCLS Certification upon employment.
  • ACLS required within 30-days of hire.
  • PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire.
