Eating Disorder Technician at Center For Discovery
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Eating Disorder Technician to join our team at Center For Discovery. As an Eating Disorder Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting patients through their treatment experience, from admission to discharge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Admission Support: Assist patients during the admission process, including checking in personal belongings and acclimating them to the program and milieu.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with families and loved ones, as appropriate, to ensure a smooth and supportive experience.
- Day-to-Day Support: Assist patients with daily activities, such as waking routines, morning hygiene, meals, nighttime routine, evening hygiene, bathroom observations, and free time.
- Milieu Management: Provide milieu management throughout the treatment experience and communicate with all team members to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Psychoeducational Groups: Facilitate psychoeducational groups for the expected length of time identified in the program schedule.
- Documentation: Objectively and accurately document patient progress on a daily basis.
- On-Call: This is a on-call position, requiring flexibility and availability to support patients outside of regular working hours.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of eating disorders and their treatment is essential, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
