We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer I-Radiology Specialist to join our team at Facility Pen Bay Medical Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic imaging services using ultrasound technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients of all ages and physical abilities.
- Demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by licensed practitioners.
- Maintain knowledge of ultrasound technology and procedures through ongoing education and training.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Develop and implement protocols for ultrasound procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved sonography program or equivalent experience.
- Current ARDMS certification or obtained within 1 year of hire.
- Current CPR certification.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
