About the Role

VCU Health - MCV Physicians is seeking a skilled Neuropsychology Specialist to join its team in Richmond, VA. This exciting opportunity offers a unique blend of clinical expertise and academic responsibilities.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and psychological interventions for adult patients. Additionally, they will engage in teaching and supervision responsibilities, including guidance for post-doctoral psychology fellows and opportunities to educate psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough neuropsychological assessments and develop effective treatment plans for adult patients.
  • Provide behavioral interventions, including psychoeducation and/or psychotherapeutic interventions for patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement comprehensive intervention plans.
  • Supervise and mentor post-doctoral psychology fellows, as well as teach and guide psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students.
Requirements
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or Neuropsychology from an APA/CPA-accredited doctoral program and internship.
  • Postdoctoral training in Neuropsychology.
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a Psychologist in Virginia.
  • Experience with neuropsychological assessment, psychological and behavioral therapies, family education and support, and behavior management.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competence and experience with geriatric patients.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year
