Your Responsibilities
As a sales associate, you will enhance the shopping experience for customers seeking exceptional gifts, entertaining essentials, and home décor.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service
  • Handling cashier duties
  • Merchandising and stocking products
  • Maintaining visual presentation standards
  • Executing curbside order deliveries

Assist customers by adhering to our service standards while embodying the World Market brand. Ensure merchandise is stocked according to visual guidelines, schematics, pricing standards, and safety protocols.

Process transactions in accordance with customer service protocols and register procedures. Maintain organization and standards in both the stockroom and sales floor.

Comply with all company loss prevention policies and procedures, as well as guidelines for distressed merchandise. Perform general housekeeping tasks as directed by management. Assist with unloading trucks as necessary.

Your Qualifications
We seek individuals with a positive attitude and a dedication to fostering a collaborative, open-minded, adaptable, honest, and respectful culture.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 1 year of retail experience (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to initiate conversations with customers
  • Minimum age of 16 years
  • Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Applications for this role are accepted on an ongoing basis. Hourly pay ranges from $14.42 to $14.92. Part-time associates can participate in the Company's 401(k) retirement savings plan after completing 250 hours within their first three months of employment.

Benefits for full-time employees begin on the first of the month following 30 days of continuous employment and include programs such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending, Commuter Benefits, and Employee Assistance.
