Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting and processing patient specimens for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process patient specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Operate laboratory equipment and computer systems to document specimen information and patient registration.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure smooth specimen collection and processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate specimen processing and testing.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with laboratory procedures and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a phlebotomy or medical laboratory program preferred.
  • One year of phlebotomy experience preferred; certification from a national accredited program is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Work Schedule and Type

Full-time position with a TBD work schedule.
