We're seeking an exceptional Master Guitar Technician to join our team at Guitar Center. As a key member of our instrument maintenance crew, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

As our ideal candidate, you possess a skilled understanding of repairing guitars and a passion for delivering outstanding results. Your exceptional customer service skills will enable you to build strong relationships with clients, providing them with top-notch maintenance services and solutions tailored to their needs.

Within this dynamic environment, you will perform maintenance and repair services on customer-owned instruments, as well as assist in maintaining specific store inventory. By continually building and increasing business through exceptional customer experiences and quality work, you will contribute significantly to the growth and success of our organization.

A successful Lead Instrument Specialist should embody the following characteristics:

  • Customer Focus: Understands customer service principles and provides an excellent customer experience. Connects with customers meaningfully, being approachable, genuine, knowledgeable, encouraging, passionate, and committed to helping them. Steps in to handle customer service issues effectively.
  • Initiative: Identifies opportunities and issues, follows through on work activities to capitalize or resolve them. Learns quickly and takes positive action without being requested. Develops knowledge and skills, including product, store operations, sales, and leadership.
  • Selling: Works through GC certification program to gain a base understanding of products and sales techniques.
  • Training: Effectively trains learners and communicates information and techniques so that they are retained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers, ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Service customer-owned instruments with high-level craftsmanship
  • Maintain store-owned gear, as requested
  • Complete warranty repair work
  • Additional duties as assigned

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
